Wetherby Fire Station, built in 1957, is situated in the centre of the small market town and houses one operational fire appliance that is staffed on the day crew system. The team is made up of a station commander (who also manages Killingbeck) and 14 operational firefighters who work a day crewed/close call shift pattern. Firefighters are on station through the day and then provide cover from home on evenings with all staff living within close proximity to the station, providing 24 hour cover, 365 days a year.
