offer a comprehensive and professional childcare service. We are registered with Ofsted and have Early Years Professional status and Early Years Teacher status. Nightingale Nurseries has been carefully designed to create spacious and comfortable homerooms. These are designed and equipped with particular age groups in mind. Each room is warm, light, safe and inviting, where we offer a wide and varied selection of activities for the children to experience and explore. ​ We offer childcare of the highest standard because we believe: Young children need a stable environment offering new challenges and opportunities for learning. The adults and the children to whom the child relates are of central importance to their development. The whole child and all aspects of her/his development are important – social, emotional, physical, intellectual and moral. Early childhood is the foundation on which children build the rest of their lives; it is not just a preparation for the next stage – it is vitally important in itself. Young children learn from everything that happens to them. A child’s potential emerges under favourable conditions. Children learn through first hand experience, and need imaginative and creative experiences. Play is the main way to learn about themselves and the world around them. Nightingale Nurseries has facilities for 73 children aged from birth – 8 years old, cared for by carefully chosen staff who have a genuine love and understanding of children. We have a highly qualified workforce, with many staff holding higher education qualifications. The Manager has gained her Foundation Degree in Early Years. We employ qualified Nursery Practitioners with N.V.Q Level 2 or 3 Early Years Educator or N.N.E.B qualifications as well as Nursery Assistants, who are working towards a Level 2 or 3 N.V.Q. ​ The Proprietor is an experienced Nursery and Infant Teacher with a Certificate in Education; she also holds a BA (Hons) in Early Childhood Studies and is qualified as a Nursery Nurse N.N.E.B. She also has the Early Years Professional Status qualification. The Operations Manager is an honours graduate with Level 3 Early Years Educator and Early Years Teacher Status. We offer a child-centred curriculum. The day is structured, but flexible, enabling us to offer a wide range of activities and experiences, within a homely relaxed atmosphere. Funded places are available to children the term after their third birthday, birth certificates must be provided to claim funding, and an undertaking agreement signed. We also offer two year old funding for those who fulfil the government criteria. Grant Funded sessions can be flexible to meet the parent’s needs and wants depending on the Nursery’s availability. The 15 hours are completely free and all other required additional hours are charged at normal Nursery rate.
